GW Bands is an inclusive instrumental music organization at the George Washington University dedicated to producing quality musical performances, promoting school spirit, fostering strong friendships, and serving the community.
GW Bands is a student organization consisting of three instrumental ensembles. There are two concert bands offered as 1-credit classes within the GW Music Department: Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. Wind Ensemble is a smaller, select ensemble, while Symphonic Band is open to all regardless of skill level. The Foghorns Pep Band is a student-run ensemble open to all, but members are required to be enrolled in at least one of the concert ensembles. Learn more about GW Bands.
